بعد مضي سبعة وعشرين عاماً على احتلال مدينة القدس عام 1967- من قبل الصهاينة تتفاقم الأخطار التي تهدد مستقبل هذه المدينة المقدسة والمناطق والضواحي المحيطة بها, وهي جسيمة مفجعة. وللتحقق من وقائع ومن أبعاد هذه المأساة الدينية والبشرية التي تتحكم بمصير هذه العاصمة الروحية للديانات السماوية جميعها يجب استعراض أهم المعطيات التاريخية الدينية والدولية الثابتة عسى أن تتبين فحوى ادعاءات وأهداف الصهيونية السياسية المتمثلة بالكيان الصهيوني العنصري المتعاظم والمتصلف. فيتم التعرف على مدى خطورة الصراع القائم بين الشرعية العربية- الفلسطينية وبين مبادرات واطماع العدو الصهيوني الاستفزازية الآيلة الى محو الصفة الدينية المسيحية- الإسلامية لهذه المدينة الشريفة والى إلغاء الصفة الدولية المقررة لها من قبل هيئات الأمم المتحدة فإذا ما أضفت عليها السلطات الصهيونية الصفة الدينية والسياسية الفردوية جاعلة منها العاصمة الوحيدة غير المتنازع عليها لكيانها العنصري التوسعي والاستيطاني استباحت لنفسها فرض مشروعها على المجتمع الدولي وعلى العرب المسلمين والمسيحين ألا وهو التهويد الكامل والمطلق الذي تسعى إليه منذ البدء والى اليوم.
