في حفلة نهاية العام، كلّفتني المديرة مع نورا إعداد معزوفة نقدّمها في الحفل، كان الأسوَد يعزف مقطوعة النّجاح، وكان الحبّ يفيض من الأصابع ليدغدغ مشاعر المستمعين.
كانت عائلتي في قِمّة الفرح، لا شيء يخجلون منه بعد ذلك، فإبنهم متفوّق في دراسته، وعازف موهوب، كانت معظم التّعليقات والمباركات تتلخّص بمعنى "مع أنّه مكفوف البصر إلاّ أنّه...".
كم يعاني المكفوف من أداة الإستثناء "إلاّ"! ما الغريب في أن يبدع الكفيف في العزف؟! لا أذنه صمّاء، ولا أصابعه مقطوعة، عومِلْتُ كما لو أنّني فاتح الأندلس، مع أنّني ما فعلت إلاّ أن فتحتُ الصّندوق الأسوَد، وأخرجتُ منه بعض ألحاني.
