"الله ربي واحد وقد تعالى عن سواه، ليس له ند، ولا ضد، ولا شيء حكاه، ولم يلده والد ولا له ابن في سماه، ولا له جسم، ولا شكل، ولا كنه نراه، ول له كم، ولا كيف، ولا أين حواه، من عده أو حده ساواه في مثل عداه، قد جل عن وصف، وعن إدراك عقل قد براه، ولم يحط وهم به وضل عنه من اقتفاه، لم يدر عقل مبتداه، وليس يدري منتهاه، آمنت فيه هكذا.. بهكذا كان الإله! ربي قديم، عالم بالذات، لا علم وعاه، أوصافه من ذاته لم يمتزج فيه خلاه، فرد، غني، ليس محتاج لرفد في غناه، حي، قوي، دائم عال، قريب في علاه، لا قبله قبل، ولا من بعده بعد تلاه، لا فوقه فوق، ولا من تحته تحت علاه، ما أوحشته وحدة لا صاحب يأوي حماه، بل فيه أنس للذي ناجاه خوفاً، أو دعاه، ربي مريد، قادر ما فاته عبد عصاه، لم يعيه خلق براه، ولم يضق فيما براه، بل فاض عنه ما أراد، بلفظ: كن، حين ابتداه، بقدرة منه، بلا قول، ولا فعل أتاه، يحكي بلا صوت، ويوحي أمره فيما اصطفاه، تجري بنا أقداره طبقاً لما كان اقتضاه".
