رواية للأديب السوري عبد الرحمن حمادي، تحكي بعض هموم المواطن العربي السوري في منطقة ما زال العربي فيها على أصالته الوطنية، والقومية، في منطقة "الجزيرة" التي تتداخل فيها العلاقات العشائرية والطائفية، والقومية لتنتهي إلى حالة من الانصهار.
تؤرخ الرواية لمرحلة الانفصال التي أعقبت وحدة عربية في العصر الحديث بين مصر وسوريا، تلك الوحدة-الثورة التي علق عليها ملايين العرب في القطرين وخارجهما أكبر الآمال.. لكن مؤامرة الانفصال أحبطت كل تلك الآمال، دون أن تنال من مشاعر الوحدة، والتطلع إليها والنضال من أجل تحقيقها.
وفي منطقة الجزيرة.. تقول لنا الرواية إن إجماعاً شعبياً عفوياً رفض الخضوع لواقع الانفصال، وظل المواطنون على ولائهم لدولة الوحدة. يستوي في ذلك العربي والكردي والأرمني، لأن الانتماء الوطني القطري يبقى في سوريا مرحلة عارضة. ويظل منقوصاً إذا لم يكن عربي الأبعاد، وإذا لم يتراجع لصالح الانتماء القومي.
شخوص الرواية بكل براءة الريفيين، يتحدثون عن الأرض، والوطن، والوحدة... وفلسطين ويعتبرون التضحية لها مقياساً للبطولة والرجولة.. والكاتب الذي عايش أبناء الجزيرة عمراً، وانتمى إليها ولادة وفكراً، بكل صدقة الفنان الملتزم يستوحي من شعبه الأصالة والوفاء لقضاياه، فإذا أبسط مواطن في أصغر ناحية هو الرمز للشعب.. والجزيرة هي الوطن.. وإذا القطر الصغير يحمل كل هموم العرب.
لقد سقط الانفصال، ولم تعد الوحدة وبقي الشعب والبلد الأمين وكل الأبناء الطيبين... الذين يصنعون المستقبل ببطولاتهم الحقيقية.. والروائية. وعلى أيديهم يطل فجر الوحدة.
