"علميني كيف أهوى علميني، فأنا في الحب طفل الأربعين، كم توغّلت بأنحائي، وكم غرق الولهان في دنيا الجنون، احتسي كأس الصبا من عاشق عتق الحُبَّ بأقداح السنين، وتلاقينا حبيبين فما غبت عن قلبي ولا نام الحنين، كلما سافرت في عينيك عُدْت من الهجران في ليل الأنين، اقرأ الحُسن بوجه مقمر، فهم الألغاز في السر الدفين، غاب عن عيني فأدمى مدمعي بجراح نزفها لا يستكين، طائر العشق، أعدني لعشيق هدني ما بين شك ويقين".
