لقد جمع القرآن الكريم العرب بعد شتات وفرقة، ووحدهم بعد تمزق وإختلاف، فطهرت به قلوبهم، واتحدت في محرابه عقائدهم، وانسجمت طبائعهم، وتلاقت أفئدتهم، فأصبحوا في رحابه إخواناً، وتحت راياته أحباباً، وصدق الله إذ يقول: ﴿وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنْتُمْ أَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُمْ بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَانًا وَكُنْتُمْ عَلَى شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِنْ النَّارِ فَأَنْقَذَكُمْ مِنْهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ﴾، وما هي إلاّ عشية أو ضحاها حتى حقق القرآن الكريم بإذن الله تعالى لهؤلاء فجراً جديداً، وصار لهم دعوة جديدة أشرقت شمسها على مشارق الأرض ومغاربها، ففتحت أعيناً عمياً، وآذاناً صماً، وأخذت هذه الأمة التي كانت تعيش على هامش الفكر وفتات المعتقدات بلا ذكر، أخذت دورها في نشر رسالة العلم والمعرفة ونشر الحضارة الإنسانية، وممن أسهم في إزاحة الظلمات وإرساء دعائم الخير ونشر العلم والثقافة الإمام أبو زكريا يحيى بن زياد الفراء، صاحب المؤلفات العظيمة والآراء السديدة الذي صار أمير المؤمنين في النحو واللغة والشعر.
