هذا الكتاب هو "مختصر صحيح مسلم" للإمام زكي الدين أبو محمد عبد العظيم بن عبد القوي بن عبد الله بن سلامة بن سعد المنذري الشامي الأصل، المصري الشافعي، ولد في غزة في شعبان سنة إحدى وثمانين وخمس مئة للهجرة.
قال عنه الشريف عز الدين الحسيني "لقد كان الشيخ زكي عالماً بصحيح الحديث وسقيمه، ومعلوله وطرقه، متبحراً في معرفة أحكامه ومعانيه ومشكلة، قيّماً بمعرفة غريبة وإعرابه واختلاف ألفاظه، إماماً حجة".
يعتبر هذا الكتاب نوراً وهدى لأسس الإيمان الصحيح، في ضوء ما جاءت به الشريعة الإسلامية من تعاليم وأحكام، تنير درب الإنسان المسلم بما جاء في كتاب الله عزّ وجل وسُنَّة نبيه محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
ويحتوي على سبعين "كتاب" بشرح مفصل، من واجب كل مسلم يبتغي مرضاة الله سبحانه وتعالى أن يعود إليه لينير له طريق الإيمان، مدعماً بالحجة والموعظة الحسنة.
