هذه رسالة لطيفة في تحقيق مسألة شريفة تتعلق بوضع اليدين في الصلاة، هل يسن فيهما الوضع أم الإرسال؟ حقق فيها مصنفها أن الأحاديث مثبتة لهذه السنة فعلاً وتقريراً... ليس عند من نفاها دليل على أنه صلى الله عليه وسلم سدل يديه، أو أمر به. ومع هذا، فقد نسب القول بالسدل إلى الإمام مالك؟! واعتذر عنه المصنف، ووصف من لامه في صدر رسالته بـ"بعض الفضلاء المكرمين، من أعيان العلماء المحترمين". ومن ثم بين أن في "الصحيحين" الوضع، وفي "سنن أبي داود" ما قد يدل على السدل. وأجاب عن سؤال قد يخطر على بال بعضهم: كيف يعارض أبو داود الشيخين؟! وبين أن أصحيّة "الصحيحين" من حيث المجموع والإجمال لا من حيث التفصيل حديثاً حديثاً.
هذا وقد جاءت هذه الرسالة محققة ويتلخص عمل المحقق بـ" أولا: نسخ المخطوطة، وضبط نصها. ثانياً: التعليق على ما رآه المحقق ضرورياً. ثالثاً: تخريج الأحاديث النبوية الواردة فيها. رابعاً: تمم النقص الواقع فيها. خامساً: قدّم الرسالة بتعريف موجز لها، وفيه رد على المعترضين على المصنف في تصنيفه هذه الرسالة، وموقف الإمام مالك والمالكية من إرسال اليدين في الصلاة. سادساً: بيّن في الهامش الأخير من الرسالة حكم وضع اليدين بعد القيام من الركوع، معتمداً فيه على كلام نفيس مسجل للعلامة الألباني.
