يأتي هذا الكتاب ضمن سلسلة الكتب الطبيّة التي تصدرها دار المؤلف في بيروت بكثير من الحَذَر، إذ من المعروف أنّ مقاربة الموضوعات الجنسيّة تعَدّ من المحرَّمات عند بعضهم، كما أنّها تُسْتَغَلّ من قِبَل بعض الكتّاب لإثارة الشهوات الجنسيَّة، كما جاءت بعض الكتب التي عالجت هذه الموضوعات بعيدة عن الموضوعية والروح العلميّة الدقيقة التي يجب أن تتصف بها.
وقد أخذنا كلّ هذه الأمور بعين الإعتبار عند وضعنا لهذا الكتاب، فعالجنا أكثر الموضوعات الجنسيّة حساسيةً بكلّ جرأة ووضوح، ولكن بروح علمية رصينة بعيدة عن الإثارة والمعتقدات الشعبيّة الزائفة.
وفي تناولنا للموضوعات الجنسيَّة اخترنا ما رأيناه أنه أهمها بالنسبة إلى القرَّاء العرب، وعالجناها بكل صراحة، وبأسلوب مبَسَّط خالٍ من التعقيد ومن المصطلحات الطبِّيَة الغامضة، والتراكيب العلميَّة الجافَّة.
ونحن، في كل ما كتبناه، لا نبغي سوى مساعدة مواطنينا على حلّ مشاكلهم الجنسية، وعلى الوقاية من الأمراض الجنسيّة، وتجنُّب الأمكنة الموجودة، والممارسات الشاذّة، للعيش في حياة كريمة مع زوجة صالحة، أو مع زوج متفَهِّم ضمن ثقافة جنسيّة علميّة ورصينة، والله وليّ التوفيق.
