ديوان "غسق الآلهة" بحورُه أَحدَ عشرَ وهي: الخفيف، الرَمل، البسيط، المتقارَب، الكامل، السريع، الوافر، الطويل، الرجَز، الهزَج، والمتدارَك، عددُ أبياته ألفٌ وأربعُ مئةٍ وتسعةً وعُشرون بيتاً، موضوعاتُه تُراوحُ بين الأسطورة والدين والغزل والتاريخ والوطن والوجدان، حاولتُ وضعَ مزامير داود شعراً لكنْ لأسباب لا يمكن الإفصاحُ عنها اكتفيتُ بسبعةَ عشرَ مزموراً فقط.
سَبْعُ ثُمانيَّات وتِسْعُ أَماليَّات وتِسْعُ أماليَّات وسبْعُ وطنيَّات وأَرْبعَ عشْرةَ غزلية وفلسفية واحدة ووجدانيِّتانِ وبضْعُ قصائدَ متفرّقة.
هذا هو الديوان بأساطيره ووطنيِّاته وأزاهيره ومزاميره وتلاوينه وتعدًّد قصائده التي تمتدُّ من عام 1969 إلى عام 2006.
الشعرُ مهما تنوَّعت موضوعاتُه يبقى هو الشعر، جاءَ في قصيدة "صراع"... لا تَقُلْ: شاءَتْ ربَّةُ الشعْر وحياً... فلِمَ الوحيُ إنْ أُصيبَ بِخَرْسِ...
ولقد حدَّدْتُ الشعرَ قائلاً: "الشعرُ وحيٌ وإبداعٌ وموسيقى" أي أنَّ الوحيَ إذا كان غيرَ ناطقٍ أي أخرسَ فلا دلالةَ ولا قيمة له من دون الإبداع والموسيقى وهما عاملانِ أساسيّان لا يُسْتغنى عنهما البتَّةَ.
ديوان "غشق الآلهة" شئْتُه هكذا، وهو يحمل عنوان إحدى القصائد كما يحمل عنوان أوبرا لريتشارد فاغنر Le Crépuscule des dieux، ما همَّ التسميةُ، سَمِّ ما شئتَ وقُلْ ما شئتَ، فقرانُ الشكل بالمضمون يَمْحو كُلَّ ريْبةٍ أو شَكٍّ أو ما يُسمَّى التماثُلَ أو التقارُبَ أو ما شاكلَ.
