استمر الاحتفال بطقس الزواج المقدس الذي كان يقام وسط اجواء من الفرح والابتهاج والسرور والحبور في جميع انحاء بلاد ما بين النهرين ولا سيما في وادي الرافدين وبالأخص في أور وبابل طول ألفين من السنين ولا عجب فالفكرة الكامنة خلفه بسيطة وذات جاذبية ومقنعة جداً فقد كان من واجبات الملك البعثة على السرور أن يتزوج من إلهة الخصب والانجاب ذات الشهوة الطاغية و العواطف الهائجة ألوهية الفتنة التي تتحكم بإنتاجية الارض وخصوبة الرحم في الانسان والحيوان لكي يضمن لشعبه السعادة والرفاه والكثرة العددية.
