ومن هنا يعدّ الكتاب نوعاً من كتابة السيرة الذاتية، تمثل حرب الخليجن وليس سيرة ذاتية شاملة، بل هي مزيج الاثنين وهدفه من وراء عمله هذا توضيح أكثر الحقائق، ووضع معظم الأمور في نصابها، إحقاقاً للحق وإبراءً للذمة وإخلاصاً للتاريخ.
