ولهذا عني المؤلف بوضع هذه الدراسة النظرية العملية المبسطة التي تدور حول تحقيق المخطوطات متحدث في قسمها النظري عن مبادئ التحقيق الأساسية ومراحله، أما القسم العملي فيتضمن نموذج تطبيقي لمخطوطة صغيرة اتخذها المؤلف كنموذج يبين من خلاله المنهجية السليمة في تحقيق المخطوطات. وهدفه من تدوين هذه الدراسة هو تقديم المساعدة لكل باحث ومطلع ومتمرس في تحقيق المخطوطات العربية ونشرها بين الناس جميعاً.
