في هذا الكتاب "رسالتان في انتصاف المهر بالموت وقبل الدخول" من تأليف الفقيه الميرزا التبريزي والعلامة الفقيه الفيض السمنائي. يهدف الكتاب إلى بيان حقيقة النكاح وأقسامه وشؤونه ولا سيما المهر عند الشيعة الإمامية وفيه تفصيل لما يُعرف بالنكاح المنقطع (الإستمتاع) ؛ والنكاح الدائم، والنكاح التعاقدي، وشرح اختلاف كل نكاح عن الآخر، ومتى يبطل العقد، ومتى يثبت، وما حكم المهر للزوج أو الزوجة قبل الدخول "قد اختلفت كلمة الأصحاب في انتصاف المهر بالموت قبل الدخول بعد الإتفاق منهم على الإنتصاف بالطلاق، فمنهم من نصّفه ومنهم من لم ينصّف ومنهم من فصّل بين موت الزوجة والزوج فنصّف في الأول دون الثاني، ومنشأ هذا الإختلاف اختلاف الأخبار المرويّة عنهم وغموض المناط في لزوم تمام المهر أو نصفه".
وبناءً على ما سبق تتبع الرسالتان حكم المهر عند الموت قبل الوقاع في كلمات الفقهاء وآثارهم كإبن إدريس الحلي والشيخ الطوسي وإلى أن ينتهي إلى صاحب الجواهر الذي استعرضها في كتاب الميراث وغيرها من مصادر.
وهكذا انتظمت محاور الكتاب في عناوين تبدأ بخطبة المؤلفان وذكر موضع الخلاف ثم مقدمة في حقيقة النكاح وبيان خصوصياته، والنكاح المنقطع واختلافه عن الدوام بالماهية، وتحقيق ماهية النكاح بأقسامه، وشأن المهر في النكاح، وثبوت مهر المثل في نفس الأمر، وسلطنة الزوج وعوضية المهر، وكيفية ملك المهر بنصفيه، وعدم انتصاف المهر في المتعة ... وأحكام أخرى.
