على أنّ الأميري بحقيقته أوسع من دائرة الشعر والأدب، والجوانب الهامّة من شخصيته ومن حياته لا تزال مركومة تحت كثبان التقصير والإهمال والعقوق، وقد أفنت حوادث الدهر أكثرها، وأسلمتها الأيام إلى ظلمة النسيان أو العدم!
إلا أن المؤلف استطاع أن يصل إللا ما وصل إليه منها، وأستنقذ بقاياها من الإهمال الذي لازمها، وأخرج أهم ما تضمنته صفحات هذا الكتاب.
