مصطلح التنوير لم تستخدمه المدوّنة النقديّة العربية الحديثة فيما يخصّ الشعر، وما نعتقده هنا أنّ هذا المصطلح ربّما يكون أكثر استجابة في حقل الشعريّ منه في السرديّ، ذلك لأنّ الشعر أساساً ينهض على فكرة التنوير في كلّ عناصره تقريباً، والشعر الذي يفتقر إلى حضور فعاليّة التنوير في جوهره بهذا المعنى يكفّ بالتأكيد عن كونه شعراً، ولعلّ الصيغة الصرفيّة للمصطلح (تنوير) على وزن تفعيل من (نوّر/ينوّر) تذهب بمعناها التفعيليّ إلى أقصى حدود إشاعة النور في حقل العمل، على مستوى السعة والعمق والانتشار والتأثير والشمول والإحاطة والإنتاج، ويمكن النظر إلى الطبقات الشعريّة للنصّ الشعريّ من دون استثناء لفحص قوّة حضور التنوير فيها.
