يتضمن الكتاب قصص وتجارب الكاتبة مريم البلوشيّة في الفترة ما بعدَ تخرجها من الجامعة بشهادة الباكلوريوس وصولاً إلىٰ حصولها علىٰ شهادة الماجستير في ضوضاء الطائرات في عام ٢٠٠٩ ، لتصبحَ بذلك أوَّل من حصل عليها في وطنها . تبدأ قصتها بعدما تخرّجت من كلية الهندسة وإعتقادها بأنها ستجد وظيفة لها بكل سهولة لأن بلادها يحتاج لمثل من درسوا تخصصها (الهندسة الكيميائية ) ، ولكن الأيام بينت لها عكس ذلك ؛ فعاشت حالة قالت عنها : " بدأت أعيش تلك الحالة الغريبة ، وحدة و فراغ ظل يشغلني لمدة سنة ، كثيرون هم من يحبطون في هذه الفترة و قد يفقدون الرغبة في عمل الكثير مما تمنوه ..." كافحت مريم إلى ان حصلت على ماجستير في ضوضاء الطائرات و قد تم إختيارها ضمن أبرز ٥٠ شخصية عربية في عام ٢٠١٤ . أيقنت حينها أن "كل تأخيرة وفيها خيرة " وهي التي تطمح الآن بأن تصبح وزيرةً للبيئة " على قدر أهل العزم تأتي العزائم !
