حاول مطر كسر جليد الفراق ببعض الدعابة، فجاءت إبتسامة عبير باهتة، أمام بركان ثائر من الوحشة في داخلها، تسللت أصابعه لتعانق يديها، فاستسلمت لنداء شوق باغتها عند رنين جرس الرحيل.
لم يكن وداعه ما يثقل ميزان قلبها، بل ذلك الإختلال المفاجئ في إيقاع مشاعرها الحانقة على فراقه، والمقبلة على رجل لطالما رفضت وجوده في حياتها!...
تركت يدها تنصهر في يديه... تبادلا نظرات صامتة، قالت الكثير عن أيام، غيرت بوصلة كل منهما، فبدأ الحنين يعصف نحوها، لترتجف يديهما المتعانقة، حين توقفت السيارة عند مدخل صالة المغادرة في المطار.
ترجل مطر وعبير من السيارة... وضع السائق الحقائب في العربة، عانقها مطر بحرارة، علّ رائحتها تعلق في ثنايا جسده، ثم دخل إلى القاعة، وتابعته من خلف الزجاج، حتى اختفى بين المسافرين، في أثناء اختبارها ولادة حب رجل يعشق المفاجآت والإبهار.
