لقد مارست تدريس مساق العلوم العامة في جامعة الإسراء، كلية العلوم التربوية مدة خمس سنوات، لطلبة جلهم من الفرع الأدبي، أي أن ميلهم للمادة العلمية تنتابه الصعوبة وبالتالي تحجم عن الاستيعاب الإفهام، إلا قلة قليلة مثابرة، عندما أخذت على عاتقي إعادة النظر وباستمرار في كل ما اعترض إفهام الطلبة من صعوبات ونظرت في تبسيطها من جهة وربطها بحياتهم من جهة أخرى حتى تقبل الإفهام على المادة وتنحاز إلى ما ييسر لهم فهم طبيعة الحياة والكون، وما سيكون عوناً لهم أثناء انخراطهم في مهنة المستقبل، بحيث يحملو بذور المعرفة المناسبة للفئة التي سيقومون بتدرسيهم ممزوجة بالأساليب التي تذلل صعوبة المادة وترغبهم في الإقبال عليها.
وأمر آخر نظرت فيه وهو الأخذ من المراجع العديدة ما يتناسب مع هذه الفئة المستهدفة بحيث ترغب في مفردات المساق الذي يفترض فيه أنه يتماها مع محتوى مناهج العلوم في المرحلة الأساسية الدنيا، فألزمت نفسي طيلة هذه الفترة التي نهضت بها تدريس مساق العلوم، بالحذف والإضافة في ضوء الواقع الذي أتعامل معه وعناصره الطلبة ومناهج العلوم في المرحلة الأساسية وما تبثه وسائل الإعلام على اختلاف أنواعها وأخص ما تعرضه الفضائيات العديدة على شاشات التلفاز.
