العناوين الداخلية لرواية "عيناك تخيل أزرق" تكشف عن الرواية بصفتها (همسات) تتمظهر بصيغة فعل من أفعال الوعي (الكتابة) التي يشترك فيها الروائي مع الشخوص، بغاية قصدية تفرد حيزاً واسعاً للنقاش حول علاقة الذات بالآخر (الرجل / المرأة) فضلاً عن إفراد حيز مستقل للذات الأنثوية وقضائها الخاص، وما يتعلق بذلك من الوعي بتعقيدات تلك العلاقة.
في تظهير الحكاية، يعتمد لؤي طه عنصر التشويق برفده السرد بقصص حب يحاول من خلالها إستدراج فصول القارئ إلى تفاصيلها، لتشكل على مستوى اللغة مجالاً واسعاً للتعبير عن تناقضات النفس البشرية في علاقتها بالآخر حيث الكذب والخداع هو ما تعيشه شخصيات الرواية بالإضافة إلى تعدد العلاقات والزواجات للقول أن الاقدار هي ما تسوق الإنسان إلى شريكه في الحياة، فبطلة الرواية، وعلى إثر دعوة تتلقاها من صديقة لها في الإمارات حيث تعيش في سكن المعلمات بإعتبار أنها مغتربة عن الوطن الأم، توافق على الدعوة ولتجد كل واحدة بينهما، قدرها بإنتظارها، ولتعيش جنون الحب وعذاباته.
إن ما يريد قوله الروائي في "عيناك نخيل أزرق": "هل سيأتي على النساء زمن يعيش فيه الحب بلا هواجس، وبلا كبت لمشاعرهن ورغباتهن؟ متى ننتهي من مهنة التمنع وهنّ الراغبات؟! متى ينتهي عصر الدهاء النسائي وتستقيل المرأة من وظيفة الكيد العظيم، لتكون على طبيعتها؟... وهل ستخلق السماء رجالاً يفهمون الترجمة الحرفية لعطاء الأنثى بأنه ليس تنازلاً، ولا ضعفاً، بل هو أعلى درجات العشق، وبأنه حالة من حالات الوله العاطفي؟! هل ستحدث معجزةٌ يتنازل فيها الرجال عن دور البطولة، ويكتفون بأن يكون لهم حظ الأنيثين في الميراث لا في الحبّ؟".
