لكلّ مجتمعٍ مجالسه، ولكلِّ حقبةٍ شعراء، ولكلِّ زمانٍ دولةٌ ورجالٌ، والمجتمعات والحقبات ضروب وأنواع.
والمجتمعات الإنسانيَّة فهي لها ضروبٌ أيضاً، فقد يكون لكلِّ فئةٍ من البشر مجالس لا يشاركها فيها غيرها، فتلك مجالس لفئةٍ معيّنةٍ أو طبقةٍ معيّنةٍ من فئات النَّاس وطبقاته، وقد تكون مجالس لفئات أو أصناف متمعدّدة تشارك فيها جميعاً لأغراض أخرى.
ومجالس الشَّاعر نصيب بت رباح كثيرةٌ جداً، يطول الحديث عنها، ومناظراته مع الشُّعراء كثيرة أيضاً، أمّا الحديث عن شعره فيلزمه المجلَّدات لتنفيد حِكمه ومواعظه.
بين يديك أيُّها القارئ الكريم كتاب "ديوان نصيب"، وهو من الموسوعة الشِّعرية التي تصدرها (دار الرَّاتب الجامعيَّة)، حيث ضمَّ هذا الكتاب أبواباً رئيسة اتبعها المؤلف في جميع هذه الموسوعة وهي: المقدِّمة، السِّيرة الذَّاتيّة لأبي النواس، أمثال العرب في شعرأبي النواس، قصص لا بدّ منها، ثمَّ أورد الدِّيوان، والذي رتَّبه حسب القافية، ووضع لكلِّ قصيدةٍ عنواناً اختاره من مضمون الأشعار.
