ورد في الحديث الشريف: "الحكمة ضالة المؤمن يأخذها حيث يجدها" وهذا أصل أصيل في الإسلام. وهذا الكتاب وما يحويه إنما جاء على هذا الأساس والمبنى حيث عمد مؤلفه إلى البحث عن الحكمة من الأذكياء والبحث عن الأذكياء هو طريق الذكاء أمام الجميع وسبيل لاستخراج الفكر والاستنتاج منه لكل شخص وفي كل مجال. وبما أن مجال الذكاء لا ينحصر بواد واحد وعلم فريد؛ بل كان له في كل واد مسرحاً، وفي كل علم منهلاً، جمع المؤلف ذلك من مختلف الكتب، ومن شتى المؤلفين، ليكون حصيلة ذلك كتاباً رائعاً فريداً ومنهلاً متشعب الفنون والعلوم، وروضة غناء بشتى ألوان الحكم التي صدرت عن مجموعة من الفقهاء والمحدثين الذين فتح الله عليهم بحكمته العالية والدقيقة أبواب الدقائق والخفايا والخبايا مما استودعه الله في كونه وفي مخلوقاته من علم. فكل خيط علمي هو عالة على أذكاء ذلك العلم، وكل سرب علماء في كل مجال هم التبع لحكماء فيه. وهذه أسماء لبعض من دار الحديث عن ذكائهم وحكمهم في هذا الكتاب وهم: أحمد بن فهد الحلي، أحمد بن محمد الأردبيلي، الشيخ أسد الله التستري، السيد إسماعيل الشيرازي، جعفر بن يونس الشلبي، الشيخ حسن كاشف الغطاء، العلامة الحليّ، الحسن بن شدقم المحدث، حسن بن محمود الأمين، السيد حسن بن علي الطباطبائي البروجردي، الشيخ خضر بن شلال الباهلي، السيد رضا العاملي، العلامة أو الحسين الرواندي، السيد مبيرزا صالح القزويني، الشيخ عبد الله التستري، الشيخ علي الخاقاني، السيد علي الأمين، الشيخ علي كاشف الغطاء، السيد عبد الكريم بن طاووس، القاضي نور الله المرعشي التستري، الشيخ موسى كاشف الغطاء، شيخ الطائفة الطوسي، الشيخ محمد حسن الشيرازي، الشيخ محسن الأمين... وإلى ما هنالك من أسماء كانت لها لفتات بارزة وحكم رائعة.
