في هذا الكتاب شرح لقصيدة الطفرائي بقلم الأستاذ "صاحب يونس الموسوي" يهدف من ورائها إلى مساعدة الطالب والقارىء المهتم إلى أن يكوّن أسلوباً أدبياً وصورة فكره مؤطرة بإطار جميل وخلاق.
ولكن بداية من هو الطفرائي: "يعمد فخر الكتاب أبو إسماعيل الحسين بن علي بن محمد بن عبد الصمد الملقب مؤيد الدين المعروف بالطفرائي، (ولد 455ه 1063م – توفي سنة 513ه 1120م) هو أحد كبار العلماء في الكيمياء، له إسهامات واكتشافات وابتكارات كيميائية كثيرة، ولم يمنعه هذا من الإهتمام بالشعر، وأشهر قصائده هي عن الحكمة ويرثي فيها حاله وهي تدعى "لامية العجم" وهي واحدة من القصائد الخالدات التي اعتنى الفضلاء بحفظها، وتطلع الأدباء إلى فهم معناها ولفظها، من هذا المنطلق جاء اهتمام أديبنا "صاحب يونس الموسوي" إلى وضع شروح عليها وحلّ غريب لغتها، ومشكل إعرابها؛ وكشف أوجه بيانها؛ لتسفر لقارئها عن نقابها، وينفتح له مغلق أبوابها، مستخلصاً الحكمة ما بين سطورها.
ومن شذرات هذه اللامية نقرأ: "أصالة الرأي صانتني عن الخطل/ وحلية الفصل زانتني لدى العطل ، مجدي أخيرا ومجدي أولا شرعٌ/ والشمس رأد الصخر كالشمس في الطفل (...)".
هذا ويأتي الكتاب على شروحات عديدة لـ"لامية العجم" من مثل ما تفنن به "عمر رضا كحالة" و"إبن خلكان" و "إبن كثير" و "ياقوت الحموي" وغيرهم ...
