حوارات وإشراقات هو عبارة عن جدل فكري دار بيني وبين عدد كبير من السياسيين والمفكرين والمبدعين والمثقفين العرب الذين أثروا الحياة العربية والمجتمع العربي بما طرحوه من نظريات من أجل تطور المجتمع وتقدمه ونهضته الفكرية، هذا إلى جانب حوار العديد من المستشرقين والمستعربين الذين نقلوا الثقافة والتراث العربيين إلى لغات العالم العديدة، منها الروسية والصينية والألمانية واليابانية وغيرها بعد أن تأثروا بها.
وهو محاولة لرصد الفكر العربي من خلال هذه الحوارات التي أجريتها خلال عقد من الزمن كان العالم العربي فيه يغلي بالمتغيرات على كافة الأصعدة السياسية والفكرية والاجتماعية. ولأهمية هؤلاء السياسيين والمفكرين والمثقفين في حركة المجتمع العربي ومتغيراته، كان لا بد لي من أن أنشر هذه الأفكار والنظريات والتوجهات التي ربما تكون قد أثرت سلباً أو إيجاباً في حركة الثقافة العربية وفي نهضة الفكر والمجتمع العربيين.
