غير أن المصور عادل عيسى اليوسفي آثر أن يقدم التلخيص البياني لمجمل ما حدث مستعين في هذا بالدراسات والاستطلاعات والمتابعة مع ما رصدته الكاميرا التي حملها شهوراً بعد التحرير لترمي في جعبته آلاف الصور الشاهدة التي تغني في كثير من الأحيان عن النص نفسه. فكان هذا الكتاب الذي يحمل في طياته مئات الصور الفوتوغرافية الملونة التي تبين حجم الكارثة التي خلفها الغزو العراقي على دولة الكويت.
هذا الكتاب في وثائقه وتعبيراته، لا يقفز عادل اليوسفي إلى النتائج فوراً، فهو يمنحك وقتاً كافياً لتقرأ ما بين الأسطر وما عليها، ويقدم لك صوراً دامغةً واضحة.. ثم بهدوء المدرك ينسحب من بين يديك لتبدأ رحلة الوصول إلى النتائج.
وينطلق في رحلة الكشف والقراءة والبحث في بطون الدراسات والتحليلات التي رصدت وعالجت وأحصت خرائب وآثار الزلزال. واستمر العمل سنوات تجمع فيها لدى عادل مئات الملاحظات والبيانات والتفاصيل والصور ليعيد بناءها في كتاب يحمل روحه قبل أن يحمل اسمه ويشير إلى الجاني قبل أن يشير إلى الضحية.
وحاول بنجاح الجمع بين عاطفة حساسية الفنان، وبين دقة وموضوعية الباحث. وكما قدم سابقاً كتابين هامين (البرهان) و(شهادة من لندن، حملة الكويت الحرة).
فإنه في كتابه الجديد "البراهين" يوسع دائرة الضوء من وثائق وصور لينطلق إلى مزيد من الحقائق الرقمية والدراسات التي تزيد من الشواهد والبراهين الدامغة التي لا تترك للتردد مجالاً ولا للمناورة حيلة. وهو هنا يضعنا وجهاً لوجه أمام مرآة الحقائق الموثوقة والصور الدامغة التي تشير إلى حجم الكارثة.
