إن الإرتباط الوثيق الذي قررهُ الإسلام بين الأذان وإقامة الصلاة - التي هي من أهم القواعد الأساسية للشريعة المحمدية ورُكن أصيل من أركان الإسلام ومن أولى الأعمال العبادية المفروضة على المسلمين - لعلّه يكمُن في أهمية الأذان وقداسته، ولا غرو فالأذان من شعائر الإسلام وسُنة مؤكدة من سُنن الرسول الأعظم صلى الله عليه وسلم تُفتح به منافذ الإتصال بين العبد والمعبود.
في هذا الإطار جمع المؤلف ما ورد من النصوص والأحاديث النبوية الشريفة، وما تحدث به أئمة أهل البيت عليهم السلام، في فضائل الأذان وآثاره ومآثره وتأثيره النفسي والإجتماعي وكذلك ما ورد من نصوص في شأن المُؤذّن ومُقوماته وشروطه وأحكامه، ذلك في القسم الأول من هذا الكتاب، ثم في القسم الثاني منه أرخ المؤلف من كان من المؤذنين في سالف العهد الذين واصلوا عطائهم في الروضة الحُسينية المُقدسة وذكر أسمائهم وما تيسر من أخبارهم.
