هذا الكتاب المرسوم بـ "الأنساب مع وقفات مضيئة في السيرة النبوية ودراسات في توثيق أنساب آل البيت". هو ضمن سلسلة "العقد الماسي في أنساب آل البيت النبوي" التي قام المؤلف بالإعتناء بها وتشجيها. وما دفعه إلى تأليف هذا الكتاب وتجميعه وانتقائه من مؤلفات شتى من كتب الأنساب إلا لإطلاع القارىء عن أهدافه التي تتلخص في فصوله الخمسة والتي تشمل على:
1- علم الأنساب هو علم فاضل لا يليق جهله لما فيه من صلة الأرحام. حيث اعتنى العرب قبل الإسلام وبعده في ضبط أنسابهم.
2- عمود النسب النبوي الشريف: فمن سيد الخلق وخاتم الأنبياء والمرسلين سيدنا محمد بن عبد الله صلى الله عليه صلاة دائمة مستمرة إلى أبو البشر آدم عليه السلام، من حيث سائر الأنساب تتعلق به وترجع من القرب والبعد إليه.
3- آل البيت: وهم أهل بيت النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم): علي، وفاطمة، والحسن، والحسين رضي الله عنهم. وهو المعتمد الذي عليه جمهور العلماء، ويدل عليه ما في "صحيح مسلم"، و "مسند الإمام أحمد".
4- حب آل البيت.
5- صفات النسابة وآليات علم النسب: فهناك صفات لا بد أن يتحلى بها من يهتم بالأنساب، أن يكون متمسكا بتعاليم الدين الحنيف، ومشهود له بالإستقامة، وصادقا لئلا يكذب في النسب فينتفي الصريح ويثبت اللصيق.
