كما عالج الفصل الخامس التصنيف، نبذة تاريخية، تعريف التصنيف، تصنيف المكتبات التقليدية، نظم التصنيف الحديثة، ويقدم الفصل السادس: الإنترنت في المكتبات ومراكز المعلومات، وضم الفصل السابع المكتبة الرقمية: تمهيد تطور مفهوم المكتبات الرقمية، المكتبة الإفتراضية، خطوات تحقيق المكتبة الرقمية، مصادر المعلومات الرقمية وأنواعها أو تصنيفها.
أما الفصل الثامن تحدث عن الرقمنة والمواد الرقمية، تصورات خاطئة، المكتبة الإلكترونية، المكتبة الإفتراضية، المكتبة الرقمية، بين المكتبات الرقمية والتقليدية، خاتمة.
