إن قُدِّر لإنسانٍ أن يعاصر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ويُسْلم على يديه ويصاحبه جسداً ويعيش زمانه وعصره ويواكب مسيرته، فهذا أمر توفر لنفر من الناس آنذاك، واقتصر على ذلك العصر، وهذه فرصة ما أثمنها وما أعلاها لو استفاد منها ذلك المرءُ واستثمرها إستثماراً لا خسارة معه ولا بعده واستغلّها إستغلال المنتفعين؛ إذ أنها لم تتوفر إلا مرة واحدة في حياة البشرية، وفي فترة شاء الله أن تكون عصر النبوة الخاتمة، وأن تتدخل السماء في ترشيد السلوك البشري عن طريق رسوله الكريم.
هذا هو المفهوم العام للصحبة تشترك فيه الصُّدفة والأقدار؛ أما أن تتوفر لشخص ما هذه الفرصة السانحة الذهبية ويستغلها بالصحبة الحقة والمعاشرة السلوكية زمن صحبته في حياته صلى الله عليه وسلم وبعد وفاته فهذا الأمر لم يحصل إلا لمجموعة، منهم (أبو ذر الغفاري) الذي يتحدث عنه هذا الكتاب بين أيدينا، حيث يصف فيه صاحبه الأستاذ الخالدي قصة معاناته رضي الله عنه بكلماتٍ وصورة عن قبره الشريف؛ يُبرز وجه إنسان اسمه أبو ذر الغفاري، صحب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فكان من صحابته المقربين الذين عاشروه وتابعوه وانقادوا له.
