"بين حياتين" ديوان شعري يحمل ما بين طياته سحر الماضي، وعبق التراث، يخطه شاعر بحراني المولد وعربي الهوى، يدخل قلبك دون استئذان، وبيسر أخاذ، وكيف لا وهو يحمل ما بين ضلوعه جيشاً من المشاعر تفيض حباً ينثره ورداً ندياً على صفحات كتابه لنتعلم منه كيف الحب يكون.
"عبد الله سلطان الحمادي" هو ليس شاعراً يرسم على أوراقه كلمات فقط، بل هو شاعر صنعته التجربة التي مر بها، فجسدها شعراً يُقرأ في لهجة محلية تُعبر عن أصالة وعراقة بلده الأم.
يقول في قصيدة (عبد وقسم) باللهجة العامية البحرانية.
"إشكالات الوردة عن شمة خشم ، لذعِ العطر بيديك ، ذاع العطر من شمك نِسَم ، وعلى الخدود اللي فضّها قرطاس الرَّسِم ، وحَلا الشفاه في صمتها الوردي ، في ختمها أخطر من الحُمره خَتِم ، ليتبطل عن الثنايا لسان الفهم (...)".
هكذا هو شاعرنا يبوح بخواطره شعراً وبأحلامه على صفحات كتابه يكتب مشاعر الفرح والحزن التي سكنته لفترات طويلة، فظل يحلم ويعاتب ويعشق ويلوم ويتألم، كل هذه الآهات يفجرها الشاعر ينبوع حب ما لبث أن تكشف عن إبداع انعتقت فيه الرغبة من مكامنها العميقة لتبوح بما في القلب من أشجان، وكيف لا أليس الشعر والحياة صنوان كل منهما وجه للآخر ...
