تعد زيارات أهل البيت (عليهم السلام) والأولياء الصالحين، خيرُ منهجِ وطريقٍ مستقيمٍ للإنسان المؤمنِ، إذا تمعنَ فيها وتدبرها جيداً، تبعثُ في نفسه قوة الإيمان، وتسلحهُ بسلاحِ العقيدةِ الصَّالحة، وروحِ التضحية في سبيل الله تعالى، وتعرفه لذَّة المناجاة مع الله سبحانه وتعالى والإنقطاع إليه والقرب منه، لأنَّ هذه الزياراتُ أودِعَتْ فيها خُلاصةُ المعارفِ الحقةِ من الناحيةِ التربويةِ والروحيةِ والخلقيةِ التي تُهذبُ النفوسَ وتجعلُ منها نفوساً شفافة قابلة للتحليقِ إلى الله سبحانه وتعالى.
من هنا، جاء هذا الكتاب "الزاد الروحي في زيارات أهل البيت عليهم السلام" حيث اعتمد المؤلف في إعداده على مصادر ومراجع ذات أهمية عالية، نذكر منها: (كتاب الزيارات لابن قولويه وكتاب المزار الكبير للشيخ المفيد) وغيرهم الكثير.
ولقد اقتضت طبيعةُ البحث أن يكون من أربعة عشر باباً ولكلِّ باب فصلين أو أكثر، يسبقها مقدمة ومدخل، وكان توزيع الأبواب على الشكلِ التالي: الباب الأول: "باب الآداب، ويحتوي على آداب السفَرِ وآدابُ زيارة أهلِ البيت (ع)"، "الباب الثاني: "باب الإستئذان للدخول في الروضات الشريفة"، الباب الثالث: "باب زيارةِ أهل البيت (ع) في أيام الأسبوع"، الباب الرابع: "باب الزياراتِ الجامعة"، الباب الخامس: "باب السعودية"، الباب الخامس: "باب السعودية"، الباب السادس: "باب العراق"، الباب السابع: "باب إيران"، الباب الثامنُ: "باب سوريَّة"، الباب التاسع: "بابُ مِصْر"، الباب العاشر: "بابُ الأردُن وفلسطين"، الباب الحادي عشر: "باب زيارة أبناء الأئمة"، الباب الثاني عشر: "باب زيارة الأنبياء العظام"، الباب الثالث عشر: "باب زيارة قبور المؤمنين والمؤمنات"، الباب الرابع عشر: "باب الأدعية التي تدعى بها بعد كل زيارة"، ثم المصادر والمراجع والفهرس.
