حين نبدأ بقراءة (للحقيقة ... وجه آخر) يتملكنا تفسيرات مختلفة للأحداث وأشئلة كثيرة تفرض نفسها علينا، لقد إشتغل الروائي على الشخصيات والأحداث بطريقة مقلقة للقارئ وبخطوط متشعبة، وحالات إنسانية مفعمة إما بحيوية الحراك، وإما بقلق العيش ببحث دؤوب عما يمكن أن يكون (حقيقة) لأن الحقيقة –كما يقول- :بوضوحها وتجردها وحيادتها ستكون نبراس رحلته، وجوهرها، وملاذه الآمن من الضياع في تيه تلك الغابة... فيعبر ذلك الطريق مطمئناً بغية الوصول إلى مصيره الأمثل، وفي نهاية الطريق... سيكتشف أن الواقع الذي يعيشه مجرد حلم، والحقيقة فيه لها وجه آخر".
تتناول قصص المجموعة الأربع أنماطاً شتى من الحياة، وتفاصيل يومية، لا تخلو أحياناً من تساؤلات مرتبطة بالوجود ومعنى الحياة؛ وبعبارة أخرى هي قصص غير مكتملة وإنما مفتوحة، وهذا ما يميَز "ماجد القطامي"، فليس أمام الرواية عموماً إلا البحث عن المجازفات.
