"رسالة إبليس إلى إخوانه المناحيس" للحاكم أبي سعد المحسن بن محمد بن كرامة الجشي البيهقي المنتهي نسبه إلى الإمام علي بن أبي طالب. "هي رسالة مما بعثه إبليس في الشكاية من المسلمين وتحريض الملحدين باسم الطبيعة الغراء البهية".
وأصل الكتاب مخطوط جاء بعنوان "رسالة إبليس إلى إخوانه من المجبرة والمشتبهة في الشكاية من المعتزلة" وهي مخطوطة طهران، وتبحث في مسألة القضاء والقدر في المجتمع الإسلامي، والمناظرات حولها التي تعود إلى سنة 38 ه. حيث يمثل هذا الكتاب "في الحقيقة لائحة إتهام معتزلية ضد فرق أهل الحديث والأشاعرة والكرامية". وكانت هذه الرسالة من أسباب قتل البيهقي الذي اغتيل سنة (494ه) عن واحد وثمانين عاماً، وكان قتله حسب ما أجمعت عليه المصادر بسبب رسالته المسماة "رسالة إبليس إلى إخوانه". فقد كان في الفقه حنفياً حتى الأخريات من عمره ثم انتقل إلى مذهب الزيديه، وفي الأصول معتزلياً.
وهذا الكتاب جاء في تحقيق الأستاذ "حسين المدرسي" الذي عمل على تقديم النص – المخطوط – وتخريج بعض ما ورد فيه من الأحاديث والأشعار والقصص، مع التعريف بالأعلام الواردة أسماءهم في المتن، بهدف إحياء لأثر من التراث الكلامي الإسلامي ...
يتوزع هذا الكتاب على ستة وعشرين فصلاً تضمنت العناوين الآتية: "في ما صدر به الرسالة من الشكوى" ، "في التوحيد والتشبيه" ، "في العدل" ، "في القضاء والقدر وذكر القدرية" ، "في خلق الأفعال" ، "في الإستطاعة" ، "في الإرادة والكراهة" ، "الكلام في القرآن" ، "في النبوّات" ، "في الإمامة والأمر بالمعروف" ، "في الآجال والأموال والأرزاق" ، "في جزاء الأعمال والوعيد" ، " في ذكر السلف" ، "في المقامات والحكايات" ، "في ذكر المذاهب" وأخيراً "في القتال".
