Book Description
تاريخ طرابلس الشام من بواكير الكتابات التي تؤرخ لمدينة طرابلس، مؤلفه حكمت شريف بن محمد بك شريف وتنتهي نسبه إلى حمزة زادة. يتألف مخطوط طرابلس الشام من ثلاثة أجزاء، وملحق بالأعلام الواردة فيه وآخر فيه بعض الإحصاءات والجداول المهمة.
يعرض المؤلف في هذا الكتاب لجغرافية طرابلس وأسمائها ووصفها ونشأتها في العصور القديمة (العصر الوثني) وتاريخها المسيحي ثم تاريخها في العصر الإسلامي ووضعها أيام الحروب الصليبية والفتح العثماني وحوادثه.
وقد عمد فريق التحقيق إلى ملاحقة مصادر المخطوطة ومراجعها فتمت مقابلتها سطراً سطراً، حيث تم الاعتماد على أكثر المراجع التي اعتمد عليها المؤلف مع ذكر ذلك في حواشي الصفحات، وقام الفريق بشرح كثير من الأعلام الواردة في المتن وتم إثبات ذلك في حواشي الصفحات، كما قام الفريق بتصحيح بعض النقص أو الأخطاء العفوية، الواردة في النصوص سواء كانت للمؤلف أن لغيره.
يؤرخ المؤلف في هذا الكتاب لمدينة طرابلس الشام، حيث كتب عن جغرافيتها ونشأتها القديمة، وحالها أثناء الفتح العثماني، ووضعها العلمي، ولوائها وقضائها ونواحيها وآثارها، ومشاهيرها وأعلامها، إضافة إلى ملاحق وجداول بمدينة طرابلس. وهذه طبعة محققة عن مخطوطة الكتاب وعليها تعليقات وهوامش هامة وفي آخرها فهارس بأعلام الكتب.
