للحكايات أبوابٌ يعرف الحكّاؤون جيّدًا أنّها تفضي إلى السلطة من جهة، وإلى الحريّة من الجهة المقابلة.
عند ذلك الباب، وقف والدي وكان عليه أن يختار. وقد اختار سموَّه. تخلّى عن زوجته وأولاده، وترك شقيقي لمصيره، لتعيش عائلتنا طوال 20 عامًا مسكونة بألم الغياب.
ما حجّة مؤنس الملك؟ وما حجّة الوالد الذي فيه؟
لمَ قد يزجُّ إنسانٌ بنفسه في العزلة ويرمي نفسه في أحضان العبودية؟ غريبةٌ هذه الدنيا، وغريبةٌ كانت الحياة التي اختارها أبي.
منذ سنوات وأنا أحاول أن أروي قصته. اليوم أضعها بين أيديكم: حكايةٌ تفيض بسحر الحكايات الغابرة، وتغرق في كابوس مأساةٍ إنسانية.
