إن أساليب مشاركة المواطن في حماية البيئة والمحافظة على سلامتها يمكن أن يعزز باستحداث مفاهيم جديدة تحت "مسمى التربية البيئية" أو "الشراكة المجتمعية" من أجل ايجاد بيئة نظيفة تجعل من الوعي البيئي والاحتساب عليها مرتكزاً في الوعي الاجتماعي، لاسيما وأن الإسلام قد رسم لنا الطريق في كيفية المحافظة على البيئة، وصونها، ودرء ما يهدد سلامتها على جميع المستويات، فالمتتبع للقرآن الكريم والسيرة النبوية يجد المنهج واضحاً في وجوب مشاركة كل إنسان في المحافظة على البيئة من أي أخطار تهددها.
إن إشكالية هذه الدراسة تكمن في ضعف دور المواطن في المحافظة على البيئة، ومن هنا تتضح أهمية الدراسة، وأهمية إختيارها خصوصاً في هذه الظروف من جهة، ومن جهة ثانية، بيان أهمية مشاركة المواطن في حماية البيئة من التلوث والجور، والإسراف، وما يتطلبه الوضع من ضرورة ترسيخ العلاقة التضامنية بحيث يصبح كل مواطن بمثابة رجل بيئة.
