إن أبرز سمة لفنِّ التورية في هذا العصر هو غزارتها وتنوعها حتّى غدت من أبرز خصائص الأسلوب الشعري في هذا العصر، بل هي صورة لثقافة العصر، حيث أن المسحة الجمالية التي تخلقها التورية من عمق التأثير، وروعة الأسر تولّد تواصلاً فكرياً بين النصّ وبين المتلقي في الغوص وراء المعنى المراد، وقد اقتنّ بها شعراء العصر المملوكي، بل أصبحت وكد الكثيرين منهم، وهاموا بها؛ ومن يستقريء تورياتهم يشهد لهم: بطول الباع، والأدب الجم، وسلامة الطبع، وأصالة الفنّ، ويندر أن تجد بينهم شاعراً ليس له توريات.
