يحيط هذا الكتاب بمعظم أعمال الأديب اللبناني " ميخائيل نعيمة " في تصوير مظهّر بإنتاجه : نهجاً وأسلوباً . أعد الكتاب الأستاذ سليمان كتّاني وقدم له بمقدمة ومما جاء فيها : " ها هو العنوان : " ميخائيل نعيمة بيدر مفطوم " وهو أيضاً : مذراة لقضم الريح ، وغربال من عطش ، ونورج بلا بيدر . وإنه بالحقيقة قرن محشور بمئة سنة . لم ينقصه أكثر من كبسة إصبع حتى يتمدد مستريحاً فوق اللوحة الممهورة بالصفرين المستديرين اللذين قفزا به ثلاثين خطوة فوق السبعين ... " . تتعدد الأعمال الأدبية التي يعرضها الكتاب ومنها : " سبعون " وهي " أنا " صاحب السيرة بالذات - ميخائيل نعمية - وهو يخط سيرته بقلمه ، لتظهر ملامح بيته الصغير في بسكنتا ، كوخه الصغير في الشخروب ، أرضه الشحيحة . أما بيئته الكبيرة التي هي وطنه فلم تشتمل على إحاطة موسعة إلا ببعض لمحات يكون على القارىء أن يتوسع بها من معلوماته الخاصة ، أو استنتاجاته المستندة على ما عنده من اطلاع تاريخي وجغرافي من بلده ... أما " الآباء والبنون " فهي مسرحية بأربعة فصول جاءت بالعامية ومبررها " حتى يتم وصول معانيها إلى الشعب الذي هو العامة ، عامة " الآباء والبنون " . ولا يتم إيصال هذه المعاني إلا بالعامية ، وفيها يتحدث عن تخلف المجتمع وعدم مقدرته على ضبط لغته في مجراها الصحيح ، قال عنها النقاد : " لا فصيحها فصيح ولا عاميتها واسعة الأذن - ولا موضوعها معروك اللُحمة ، ولا مسرحُها ملقوط بحركة وحدث ، ولا جدها جد ، ولا هزلها هزل ، أما عقدتها ففي أنها : بلا عقدة " .
ويأتي كتاب " البيادر " ليشكل مجموعة من المقالات ، وعددها ست وعشرون ، ملامحها تبشرية توجيهية في تفتيشها الملتاع عن الله الذي ينجلي فيه الوجود ... وأما المجلد الخامس لنعيمة فيتألف من أربعة عشر مقالاً ، أبرزها : ثلاثة وجوه ، وجه " بوذا " ، وجه " لاوتسو " ووجه " يسوع " . إنها وجوه ثلاثة تحرر حاملوها - بمظر ميخائيل نعيمة - من كل ما يربط الإنسان بالأرض ، إنها وجوه " نرفانية " ، " خاوية " - " ملكوتية " ، وما على القارىء إلا تأمّل هذه الوجوه بخيال ميخائل نعيمة ...
