في السنوات الماضية صدر آلاف الكتب الغربية تُهاجم الدين الإسلامي، وجنّد الغرب المستشرقين ليكتبوا ضد الإسلام، وركز الغرب في الهجوم من ناحية المرأة، لأن المرأة الأوروبية هي المسيطرة، ولإعتقاد الأوروبيين أن المرأة في الدول الإسلامية هي المسيطرة فأرادت أن تتجه إليها، ولأن عدداً كبيراً من النساء المسلمات - وللأسف - يُحاولن أن يُقلدن الغرب ويعتقدن أن ذلك بمثابة الحرية.
فلقد اتخذ الحاقدون وذوو النوايا الخبيثة من المستشرقين والمنصرين وغيرهم من مسألة القوامة ذريعة للنيل من الإسلام، وتضلل الناشئة... فزعموا أن قوامة الرجل على المرأة دليل على أن المرأة في - نظر الإسلام - مخلوق ناقص يستبد به الرجل، وهي أسيرة قيوده ورغباته.
لقد ظهرت في عالمنا الإسلامي حركات التحرر والسفور، تبغي بحركتها المساواة مع الرجل، وفي كل ما يتمتع به من حقوق أو في أغلبها، على حسب ما تراه هي لا ما يراه الدين أو تقضي به الشريعة... وحجة المرأة المسلمة المساواة بين الجنسين، تحاول أن تصبغها بالصبغة العقلية فلا يُطاولها العقل، وتحاول أن تلتمس لها سنداً من الدين، فعبثت بنصوصه تشرح وتؤول وفق هواها، وهي في الحقيقة مقلدة للغرب لا مؤمنة بأن الإسلام يؤيدها ويُنصفها.
سوف يستعرض هذا الكتاب المباحث التالية: شبهات ومزاعم حول قضية قوامة الرجل، شبهات ومزاعم حول سواء إستخدام حق القوامة من قبل بعض الرجال.
"ادعى المستشرقون دونية المرأة وانحطاط منزلتها في الاسلام فالرجل هو القائد والسيد المطاع وهو الآمر والناهي، وعلى المرأة أن تكون مطيعة له فقط الا ان القوامـــة فـــي التشـــريع القرآنـــي تعنـــي الرعايـــة والمســـؤولية والمحافظـــة علـــى الزوجة وذلك يفيد تحمله مسؤوليتها وفضله عليها".
