يبحث بشكل معمق ومفصل مسائل تحويل الطاقة الشمسية إلى طاقة حرارية لاستخدامها في تسخين المياه للاستعمالات المنزلية والتجارية وفي التدفئة والتكييف والتبريد لقد وضعت في هذا الكتاب المخططات التفصيلية الموضحة لأنظمة دارات عاملة على الطاقة الشمسية في مجالات التسخين والتبريد والتدفئة التي استعملت ولما تزل تستعمل حتى الآن في بلدان العالم المتطورة. ورغم أن معلومات هذا الكتاب تعتبر تسبياً معمقة فعي مع ذلك تعتبر سهلة بسبب بساطة أسلوب شرحها ويمكن فهمها مع شيء بسيط من الجهد، وفي الفصل الأول من هذا الكتاب تحدثت عن الطاقة الشمسية وعن مميزات استعمالها ومساوئها، أما في الفصل الثاني فقد أسهبت في شرح ماهية الإشعاع الشمسي وبنيته وكيفية الاستفادة منه بشكل فعال وبمردود أعظمي، أما الفصل الثالث فقد خصصه للمجمعات الشمسية والتبريد والتدفئة الشمسية مجال بحث هذا الكتاب وحاولت تغطية معظم المجمعات التي تستعمل حالياً في جميع أنحاء العالم وكيفية رفع مردودها، أما المجتمعات الشمسية المفرغة من الهواء فقد أفردت لها فصلاً رابعاً خاصاً بها لأهميتها وكونها ظهرت حديثاً بعد أزمة الطاقة عام 1973، كما أن هذا النوع من المجمعات يعتبر قفزة نوعية في تكنولوجيا تحويل الطاقة الشمسية إلى طاقة حرارية، أما الفصل الخامس فد بحثت بإسهاب وتفصيل الأنظمة الشمسية المختلفة المستعملة لتسخين الماء للاستعمالات المنزلية والتجارية من حيث طريقة عملها وتجهيزاتها ومخططات تركيبها العملية مع مخططات التحكم الآلي الكهربائية الخاصة بها وقد أنهيت هذا الفصل بدراسة حرارية تصميميه مبسطة، أما في القسم السادس والأخير فقد خصصته لأنظمة التدفئة والتكييف والتبريد المختلفة مع كامل مخططاتها العملية والتجهيزات الملحقة بها.
