منذ حل الطفل محمد ضيفاً على والديه في بيته الكبير في يوم ميلاده، وهو لا يحلو له النوم إلا على صوت مذياع أمه. كان صوته يندفع قوياً مدوياً في جميع أركان البيت، وكانت أمه تستمتع بمساعه، فقد كانت تشغله منذ أول الصباح إلى غاية المساء.
كان محمد يعتقد أحياناً أن أمه جاءت من زمنٍ قديمٍ، كيف لا وهي لا تتفرج على التلفاز إلا في ما ندر؟!
تمر الأيام وكبر محمد وذهب للدراسة والعمل خارج البلاد، وعندما عاد أدهشه منظر والدته وجلوسها في مكتب والده، أمام شاشة الحاسوب. في تلك اللحظة تذكر قصة (مذياع أمي) وكيف كان هذا المذياع من شدة تعلق والدته به "قصة يتندر بها في بيتنا" وعندما ذكّر محمد والدته بالمذياع أجابت "ياه يا محمد .. أما زلت تذكر؟ لقد ولى عصره وفات .. الآن لا أعتمد إلاّ على النت" – إييه .. رحمك الله يا أيام المذياع؟ .
