يهدف هذا الموضوع إلى تقديم النتاج القصصي للروائية "زينب حفني" ممثلاً في روايات ثلاث (الرقص على الدفوف، لم أعد أبكي، ملامح) أنموذجاً، على أنه ترجمة لواقع المرأة العربية عموماً، والسعودية خصوصاً، ما يكسب التفسير الإجتماعي، المطروح في الدراسة صفة مساعدة على معرفة النص من خلال المجتمع الذي تجسّده الروائية (أي العالم الذي يتحرك فيه البطل أو بالأحرى البطلة في الرواية المنسوبة).
فنتاجها الروائي، ينقد ما هو قائم، ويثبت بعض الأفكار وبعض الأحكام المتعلقة بالأفراد والجماعات بدءاً من الحياة الداخلية للفرد، ومن الوضع الإجتماعي الذي يعيش فيه، حيث تلخّص اللهجات الجماعية رؤى جماعية متباينة أو متجانسة، ما يكسب التفسير الإجتماعي المطروح في البحث صفة مساعدة على معرفة النص من خلال المجتمع المدني الذي جسدته الروائية حفني، العالم الذي تتحرّك فيه بطلاتها وأبطالها.
وهذا ما يشكّل جديد الرسالة الحالية، حيث يتناول البحث روايات حفني الثلاث، لا كصورة عن المجتمع أو كصورة توضيحية لخطاب نظري، كنوع أدبي معارض لها هو سائد، أو كبحث فردي بغية البحث فيه عن قيم غير فردية، أصيلة، غائبة في واقع إجتماعي تجاوز المفهوم الرسمي له.
البحث يتناول نتاج حفني كمجموعة من الوظائف اللغوية الإجتماعية التي تسعى إلى نقد أو إثبات بعض الأفكار والأحكام إلى جانب العدد الكبير من الجداول والرسومات التي حفلت بها صفحات البحث.
