جاء عنوان (بعد خراب الفلسفة) ليجيب على سؤال مهم كان يراود مدني صالح ويراود مريديه وهو: ما الذي بقي للفلسفة بعد انحسارها إزاء مد العلم ونحن في القرن الحادي والعشرين، فجاء الجواب في هذا الكتاب الذي يرى مدني صالح فيه: لم يبق للفلسفة شيء بعد انحسارها إزاء مد العلم إلا أشياء وأشياء منها في فلسفة التاريخ وفلسفة الإدارة وفلسفة التصميم، ومنها في فلسفة الفن وفي وجودية التصوف وتصوف الوجودية، ومنها أشياء في الحضارة والمدنية والثقافة ومنها أشياء في الاحتكار وفي الاقتصاد التربوي.
كان مدني صالح لا يرى القضايا الفلسفية التي درسها في الأكاديمية وما زالت تدرس حتى الساعة إلا قضايا لا يمكن أن نعدها إلا من الثقافات الساقطة وظيفياً والتي منها (نظرية الفيض وتناهي جرم العالم، وكيمياء أرسطو وبايولوجيا أرسطو وفيزياء أرسطو) كلها أسقطها العلم و العلماء والذي منهم كبرنيوكوس وغاليلو ونيوتن وأينشتين وهارفي ولا فوزايه وباستور، فجاء هذا الكتاب تجنباً لما هو ساقط وظيفياً ولما هو مكرور وتماشياً مع الجمع بين الفلاسفة واتحاد الفلسفات والاختصار والتلخيص وتلخيص التلخيص. أراد مدني صالح في كتابه هذا أن يجنب الناس المصطلحات الصعبة والمتون المعقدة التي لم يستطع الكثير تجاوزها وهذه موهبة لا يؤتاها إلا ذو حظ عظيم.
