هذه فصول علميَة قيدناها، وأصول حكميَة نبَهنا عليها مما قد يسنح في الخاطر عند المذاكرة والتذكير، والنظر والإعتبار، كثيراً ما تدعو الحاجة إليها، ويقع التعويل عليها، من كل عالم ناسك. ومريد سالك، ولم نرتبها على مثل ترتيب الكتب المؤلفة، في رعاية المناسبة بين فصولها، وجعل بعضها كالمقدمة لبعض، والمتمم لما قبله وذلك لما ذكرناه من كونها تسنح في الخاطر في أوقات المذاكرة والتذكَر وذلك يكون في أمور شتى، وفي أحيان قد تباعد بعضها عن بعض. فلذلك ترى هذه الفصول كأنَ كل فصل منها مستقل بنفسه، ليس له إرتباط ظاهر بما قبله ولا بما بعده، هذا هو الأكثر فيها والمعظم، وإن اتَفق خلافه فيكون قليلاً منها أمر إقتضاه.
وقد إشتملت هذه الفصول على أمور كليَة. وحكم جمليَة بحيث لو أراد العالم المتسع في العلوم أن يجعل كل فصل منها تأليفاً مستقلاً يجزَئ فيه كليَة، ويفصَل فيه مجمله لأمكنة ذلك وتيسَر له، كما يعرف ذلك من وقف عليها من أهل العلم والبصائر، وأرباب القلوب والسرائر،الذين آتاهم الله الحكمة.(ومن يؤت الحكمة فقد أوتي خيراً كثيراً. وما يذكر إلا أولو الألباب). في بيان معظم ما يهتم به العارفون وما يهتمون به الغافلون، من الحكمة الإلهية غفلة أكثر الناس عن الحقائق الإيمانية، زمان الخير والصلاح وزمان الشر والفساد، الكبر والغفلة من أمراض القلوب، لا ينبغي ترك ما فيه صلاح القلب مداراة للناس، الصالحون من رجال العالم أربعة وأضدادهم أربعة وغيرها الكثير.
