قصدت من جمعها، أن تكون ثقافة عامة لقارئيها، ترويحاً عن نفوسهم، وتنويراً لبصائرهم، شحذّا لعزائمهم، رجوت بها النفع والفائدة، غنية لهم عن مطالعة الأسفار التي يعز حصولهم عليها.
