في هذا الكتاب يناقش السيد جواد السيد كاظم الموسوي القزاز قضية التقارب للدين الواحد استناداً لقول الله تعالى: واعتصموا بجبل الله جميعاً ولا تفرقوا" ويعتبر أن التقارب بين الأديان يجب أن يكون عن طريق حوار في الساحة الدينية والسياسية لوجود قضايا مشتركة كثيرة وقد أمرنا خالقنا لذلك بكلمة سواء. يهدف الكتاب إلى مخاطبة العلماء والمثقفين والمفكرين الإسلاميين في عصرنا الراهن للوقوف بثبات أمام التحديات الفكرية والعقائدية الكبرى التي يروج لها الغرب، حفاظاً على مسيرة الإسلام ومنهجه للإجيال القادمة. من هنا جاء الكتاب شاملاً عدة فصول ومحاور بدءاً بالشرائع السماوية والكتب وتحريفها، إلى الإسلام والعداء والوقوف ضده، والعوامل التي ساعدت على نشر الإسلام، والتمزيق الذي حصل بعد ذلك وأسبابه، والتقارب للأديان وبين الدين والواحد، والإقتصاد الإسلامي وفلسفته وخصائصه والفكر السياسي الأوروبي والإسلامي ومميزات الإسلام وحريات المرأة والرأي، وانتهاءً بالحكومة الإسلامية ومصادر التشريع.
وعن الأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر يقول مؤلف الكتاب "... نعم فشرط الأمة وبقاءها في مناهجها الصحيحة هو الأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر، وهذا لا يكون إلا بالتضحيات العظيمة والجسيمة الخالدة، وهذا ما نجده واضحاً في تاريخ الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وأمير المؤمنين علي (رضي الله عنه) وأهل بيت الرحمة (صلوات الله وسلامه عليهم أجمعين) الصحابة الأجلاء...".
