هذا كتاب (علل الشرائع) للشيخ الصدوق أبي جعفر محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن موسى ابن بابويه القمي (توفي سنة 381هـ). جاء الكتاب في جزئين متضمنة (647) باباً في علل الشرائع في الإسلام والحكمة التي من أجلها كانت على ما هي عليه. وقد وردت العلل بأحاديث بالسند المتصل من الخلف إلى السلف وكلها مقتفاة من آثار الأئمة النجباء من أهل بيت النبوة، ومن أفذاذ العلماء الذين كانت تشد إليهم الرجال من مختلف البلدان.
ومن علل الشرائع التي يجيب عنها الكتاب نذكر: العلة التي من أجلها سمي آدم آدم، العلة التي من أجلها خلق الله آدم من غير أب وأم، وخلق عيسى من غير أب، وخلق الخلق من الآباء والأمهات. علة النسيان والذكر، وعلة شبه الرجل بأعمامه وأخواله، علة الطبائع والشهوات والمحبات، العلة التي من أجلها لا يجوز الصلاة حين طلوع الشمس وحين غروبها، العلة التي من أجلها لا تجوز الصلاة في سواد العلة التي يكون من أجلها يكون عذاب القبر... الخ.
تأتي أهمية هذا الكتاب من كون مؤلفه من عظماء القدماء التابعين لآثار الأئمة رضوان الله عليهم الذين لا يتبعون الآراء والأهواء فيما يكتبون ولذا ينزل أكثر من رؤى عنه أي الشيخ الصدوق –كلامه وكلام أبيه منزلة النص المنقول والخبز المأثور. فقد كان حافظاً للحديث وبصيراً بالرجال وناقداً للأخبار وهذا ما يؤكد صدقية ما جاء به من أحاديث.. جديرة بالقراءة.
