في البيت الذي أعمل فيه كلب إسمه كيسفو، كان يمنحني الحب والحنان أكثر من أي فرد من أفراد العائلة. عندما يراني حزينة واجمة، يأتي ويلتمس الدفء عندي يلحس قدمي ويلمسني بأنفه. كان يفهم حزني، وإذا رددت عليه بضربة خفيفة يبدأ بهز زيله، وسرعان ما بتنا صديقين. كان يرفض عناية الآخرين. بت الأثيرة عنده. أنا من يطعمه ويرفض أن يأكل من أحد غيري. وكنت آخذه حتى يتغوط وإذا تركت باب بيتي مفتوحاً فسرعان ما يدخل ويقفز على سريري ليرقد هناك، وإذا كنت نائمة يوقظني أعرف حينئذ أنه يريد الخروج. كنت أسعد أيضاً عندما أخرجه ليمشي لأني أشعر بالأمان معه. في تلك اللحظات لم يكن أحد يجرؤ على أزعاجي سواء في الليل أو النهار لأن صديقي معي.
