"العمدة في محاسن الشعر وآدابه ونقده" لأبي علي الحسن بن رشيق القيراوني. كتاب نفيس، جمع أحسن ما قيل في معاني الشعر ومحاسنه، وعليه قامت شهرة صاحبه، وبه شاع اسمه، وذاع صيته.
وقد حظي هذا الكتاب بانتشار واسع، وقبول حسن، مما دفع بالعلماء بامتداحه كابن خلدون حيث قال: أن كتاب العمدة هو الكتاب الذي انفرد بهذه الصناعة وأعطاها حقها ولم يكتب فيها أحد قبله ولا بعده مثله.
وتجلت قيمة (العمدة) النقدية والبلاغية فيما اختاره ابن رشيق لكتابه من موضوعات كان معظمها في نقد الشعر وحده وبنيته وتاريخه وما يتصل به من مباحث الوزن والقافية، والصور الفنية، واللفظ والمعنى، حيث وازن بينهما، وإن كان كلامه يوحي بترجيح الثاني على الأول. وجاء بأمثلة في المطبوع والمصنوع، واتبعا بآراء في أبي تمام والبحتري وابن المعتز وبشار.
وهذا الكتاب، وإن جمع أقوال السابقين في الشعر والبلاغة والنقد، إلا أن لصاحبه إضافات جديدة فيه، تدل على غزارة علمه، ودقة فهمه، وسلامة ذوقه الأبي. وتجعل من كتابه نقطة إنطلاق هامة للمعنين بالدراسات النقدية على أسس بلاغية.
وبعد، فهذا هو "العمدة" في حلته الجديدة وكل ما نرجوه أن نكون قد أسدينا لتراث امتنا بعض ما لها في أعناقنا من دين.
