إن مما يقع فيه المسلمون في هذا الزمان، الخلاف الكبير في مسائل السفر، وقد ذهبوا في ذلك مذاهب شتى وتعددت الآراء وتضاربت الاستنباطات حتى أصبح المسلم الذي يقرأ أبحاث السفر يقع في حيرة من أمره، فكل من أعطى رأياً في مسألة دعم رأيه باستدلال صحيح، وبعضهم لم يوفق في الوصول الى الدليل الصحيح القوي فاعتمد على حديث ضعيف، أو على فهمه لحديث صحيح أخذ منه دليلاً على مسألته, حتى احتار القارئ في أمره, لذلك جاء هذا الكتاب للعمل على اخراج المسلم من حيرته وتقديم الدليل الصحيح القوي له والذي رجحه بعض العلماء والفقهاء المشهود لهم بالعلم الواسع والاجتهاد البالغ في استنباط الأحكام والترجيح بين الأدلة وإعطاء القارئ زبدة ما وصلوا إليه وهو عوناً للمسافر في سفره ويرد على تساؤلاته مباشرة دون الخوض في مسائل العلم المعقدة والمتشعبة والتي أرهقت طلاب العلم فكيف بمن كان ذا ثقافة محدودة.
